2nd Annual Poker Run May 16, 2009
Our first Poker Run was an amazing success, thanks to all of you bikers. We had over 200 participates and this year we are hoping for an even bigger and better event.
We will be having live entertainment by Vance Phillips, at the The American Legion Post #244, which they will also be serving hamburgers, hot dogs, and refreshments. Door prizes and a live auction will also be part of the event.
This year we are making every effort to have plenty of shade and seating, as we are expecting to have another great turn out. The first 150 bikers will receive a free patch!! Patches and event shirts will also be available to purchase. Again, we would like to Thank you all for your support of the McLoud Fraternal Order of Volunteer Firefighters and the McLoud American Legion Post #244. We are looking forward to seeing you there!!
The goal of this poker run is to raise money for Fire Prevention education in our community, as the materials are very expensive.
You can Pre-register for the poker run for only $15.00 plus $5.00 for your rider by sending in the pre-registration form to PO Box 822, McLoud OK 74851. You can also register the day of event for $20.00. You must sign a Waiver form before the Poker Run begins.
First bike out at 10:00 a.m.
Last bike out at 12:00 noon.
Last bike in at 5:00 p.m.
The tentative plans for the day are as follows:
1st card & registration: McLoud 66, 408 E. Broadway, McLoud
2nd card: Gi Gi's, corner of 2nd & Ripley, Byars.
3rd card: Stan's, HWY 9, 2 miles west of Seminole.
4th card: VFW Post #1317, 811 E. MacArthur, Shawnee.
5th card: Kickstandsz, 411 W. Broadway, McLoud, Then proceed to American Legion Post #244 at 126 N. Main st., McLoud for awards, auction, refreshments, and live entertainment.
The American Legion members will be serving hamburgers, hot dogs, and drinks. Any donation would be appreciated.
High hand pays $400.00
Low hand pays $200.00
50/50 tickets will be sold at the American Legion Post #244
